Mohammad Ali Nematbakhsh

Bio

Professor Nematbakhsh leads the Big Data Research Group at the University of Isfahan. he received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1981, and his M.Sc. and PhD. from the University of Arizona, in 1983 and 1987 respectively, in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He worked for Toshiba America Medical Systems Research in USA and Japan for 5 years before joining the University of Isfahan. He is currently a full professor at the Computer Engineering Department and director of the Big Data Research Group.

Publication

His publications include numerous international journal papers and four patents registered in the USA and two database books that are widely used in universities. His main research interest is Big Data, Intelligent web, and NLP.

Teaching

Since 1992, Prof. Nematbakhsh taught computer engineering courses at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels in Iran. his latest courses are Data Base, Data Base II, Big Data Analytics, and Advanced Topics in Data Base.
